Africa awake

These last two weeks, in my first non-vacation, non-corporate visit to Africa in almost 30 years, I experienced some of the most impressive people, the most meaningful conversations and the most powerful moments of my entire professional career. Quietly, in spite of the negative perceptions that most of the world stubbornly holds about the continent, an awakening is underway. One such example is the African Leadership Group, founded by Fred Swaniker, with presence in South Africa, Mauritius, Rwanda, Kenya, and expanding, which is steadfast in its mission to create the next generation of African leaders.
