Camino Frances 2024 Day 21 - Jun 25, 2024

This was my official last day of the Camino de Santiago. It is funny but on the way home 3 separate groups stopped me to ask if I had just come from the Camino. The global movement is large and I think will begin to show itself from now on. As I have said before, I know why people go back. I could see it and feel it in the scenes I saw in the square last night and again this morning during my final walk through. I realized it in my own experience. It is for many reasons, including, but not only the remains of that great man who inspired it all and who continues to inspire millions to walk to his repose. The Cathedral is his home and the peregrinos his willing flock and the roads we all travel to be together his teaching to us - that we are one global family with a powerful capacity to find and live our own way, and that this is possible in harmony and peace and friendship. Buen Camino…until again Camino.
