Camino Frances 2024 Day 8 - Jun 12, 2024

Today is a rest day and we walked around the sleepy old town center that had been a huge party the night before. Towards noon it began to come alive and there was another long line for free food and drinks, it seems as a continuation of the celebration. We saw a ceremony in front of the cathedral with people in suits and beautiful uniforms. We also went into the amazing cathedral itself and found a nice meat market. Later Victor went shopping but I went back to the apartment to chill out before dinner which we had at the same place - same tapas as before. We ran into Bryce and his wife who are on their way out. Tried out the empanadas. Had two calls - one board meeting with Reach and my nasdaq program so was a 2am night with a 6am wakeup. Body felt good. Enjoying the coffee. Beginning to watch the carbs and do more protein. Not had a coke in a couple days. Today was our wedding anniversary.
