Dare to be Daniel
Change takes courage. Over 40 years ago, my now 86 year old dad taught us this song – “Dare to be a Daniel. Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a purpose firm. Dare to make it known”. It has stuck with me since and throughout my business career and in the public sphere I have seen too many times what it means.
When we stand between the familiar but untenable status quo and an unfamiliar but aspirational future, the keys to progress, to our potential or to significant change is often one simple courageous decision. Yes – the path to courage is painful and fretful, clumsy and conflicting, lonely and unpopular, but, purposefully walk it. Oftentimes it is the only way to move forward and all we need is the courage of one Daniel. Any of us can be Daniel. #RealWinTips
