Master the art of communication

When we communicate, we engage deeply and respectfully with another person. We listen, understand, respond with relevance and ensure that we are understood and that we are working off common assumptions. We naturally seek alignment and attempt to create solutions in our mutual interest. Talking, on the other hand, is about making sounds in their direction and generally obsessed only with our self-interest. It takes one person to talk, but at least two to communicate.
