Reach out

We are human, after all. Shocked and saddened by these back-to-back suicides, especially by familiar faces that brought joy to so many and seemed to have it all. Did we give them joy back? I had to reflect and remind myself - that we don’t have it all. None of us do, none of ever have and none of us ever will. Not a single human has a perfect life no matter his or her station or wealth or fame. We should share more about what makes us sad or mad as much as we post about what makes us glad. We must make it okay to not be okay and give our humanity a chance to reach out and touch someone else or be touched. Shift from the pressure of perfection to the support of consolation.
