Camino Frances 2024 Day 6 - Jun 10. 2024
22 km today from Estella to Los Arcos. Very cool day and ideal for walking. Mostly landscapes of vineyards and olive groves and grain. We stopped at the tap that flows wine and the famous master metal smith where we bought camino shell necklaces. We met Marcel the retired entrepreneur who has done this camino each year since 2016 and many others as well and is planning to do this one 3x in a row, the Swiss couple who will ride to Santiago and back to Switzerland, Hennes who has riden 3000km from Austria, the 4 Brazilian ladies (including Gustave's mom), miso from Singapore, Holly and Emily the sisters from Canada, Pablo and Herman from Buenos Aires (and their wives) and many more. Everybody seems to be in high spirits but there is a 28 km walk ahead tomorrow. It seems like people are settling into their own way, friendships are forming and today was a time to take it all in and be appreciative. Lots to hear when you listen and no need to explain anything to anyone.
