Consistency in leadership is very critical, in the core principles that guide you and in how you treat people on your team. Playing favorites is not good leadership because it undermines the power of the entire team. No one gives their best when they feel short on opportunity, short on support, short on recognition and short on reward and moreover, feel vulnerable relative to their peers. And, if you are surrounded by sycophants or the fearful it is no better. No one gives of their best then as well because maintaining your favor overrides telling truth to power. Arithmetically, a favored few can hardly replace the versatility and diversity of a rejected full team. So, if partiality is your style, then your team is not as strong as it could be and neither are you as effective as you could be. You are sailing a sinking ship, you just don’t realize it yet. #RealWinTips
